12/09/16 - IDPB introduces a new Entrepreneur Visa (subclass 188)
The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (IDPB) introduced a new entrepreneur visa stream which will be part of the ‘Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188). This visa was established for entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and financial support from a third party.
This visa will allow entrepreneurs with $200,000 in funding from a third party to establish entrepreneurial ventures and activities in Australia.
This visa also provides a pathway to permanent residency in Australia.
In order to be eligible to apply for Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) Entrepreneur Stream, you must be:
- nominated by a state or territory government or Austrade on behalf of the Australian government
- invited to apply
- meet certain health and character requirements
- meet the additional requirements for the stream in which you apply (For more information, please contact us)
